Those details come from our founder's own first hunts, and they are why this piece sits close to the bone. The Game Vest comes from that kind of memory: a boy carrying too many shells and walking out taller than he came in.

The canvas upland vest, kept plain

Across rabbit cover, squirrel woods, cut cornfields, and walked-up bird country, the right vest has always had a simple job. Carry shells. Carry birds. Leave the hands free. Not the lightest. Not the driest. Not the whatever-est. Just the vest.

Built for the field

At the body, 10.25 oz, 100% sanforized cotton canvas gives the vest its weight and its wear. Khaki canvas carries the body, with blaze-orange canvas across the chest yoke and back band. Blaze-orange nylon mesh runs across the upper shoulders and back, the one synthetic concession on the vest because a long walk behind a dog asks for air.

Five horn-style buttons close the front. Two rows of closed-bottom shell loops are made from cotton webbing, not elastic, so they hold their shape without turning the vest into something it was never meant to be. Large open patch pockets sit at the hip for small game, shells, or cold hands. Inside, a snap pocket keeps a license or truck key put away. A chest D-ring carries a whistle or clip.

The back game pouch has a PU-coated interior, a button-flap top, and side zippers for clean-out. After a bloody upland day, hose it down and hang it back in the closet.
